Yakana is developed through an interactive path that links history and culture around an environment of education which encourages people to broad their interest and curiosity about the celestial sphere.
The building and its organization are intended to embody the astronomic awareness of the cultures that once inhabited Chile. This allows us to create interest not only in astronomy but also in the history of the region.
At first sight the museum is unobserved to visitors as it is buried below the ground in order to connect the sky with the horizon creating an inspirational experience.
